My company
is a third
generation,
ninety-year-old
business
which serves
lower
Fairfield
County in
Connecticut.
We supply
ready mix
concrete,
building
supplies,
and heating
oil. In the
fall of
2006, we
started a
search for a
new software
solution for
point of
sale and
general
ledger
services.
We needed to
update a
system that
had been in
place for
twenty-five
years, so
the thought
of
converting
to a whole
new system
was
daunting.
My search
led me to
Netnix of

Store was
originally
founded in
1908 in
Harlem, New
York as a
bicycle and
carriage
shop, and
prospered
there for
decades. In
1947,

the downtown
area of

has been an
established
specialty
running shop
since
1980. One
might
imagine that
the
inventory of
such a store
would not
require
much, but
the
selection of
items that
we carry is
immense. Not
only do we
carry running
shoes and
running
apparel, but
we also do
the same for
biking. We
carry a
large amount
of wetsuits
and numerous
accessories.
With that in
mind we
started to
see a need
for
something
greater than
our current
POS system.
We pride
ourselves
with
superior
customer
service and
to keep up
with that
standard we
did the
unthinkable, and
in 2005 purchased
a computer
system. Our
goals were
modest and
simple, so
when
Counterpoint
was
presented to
us, we
jumped. The
system
seemed to
be user
friendly,
which is
what we
needed, and
with the
guidance of
our business
partner,
there would
be no
stopping
us.
Well...the
system was
okay and our
business
partner was
mediocre at
best.
Determined
to
make Counterpoint
work, we
sought out
another
business
partner. Our
investigations
led us to
Netnix Of
New York,
and we have
to say
that we
couldn't be
happier. The
difference was
amazing.
Since
partnering
up with
Netnix,
we have
become aware
of the
software and
its

and it seems
to be
endless,
especially with
each update.
More
importantly,
however, is
